The chapters of Halloween from ‘The Simpsons’ have left us several of the best moments of the series, and also several of the funniest and most disturbing parodies. For the next special ‘Tree House of Terror’ we are going to explore the world of anime, and if a series lends itself to being parodied for Halloween, it is certainly ‘Death Note’.

Inside this year’s special Halloween chapter, ‘The Simpson‘ will change style for a fragment where Lisa becomes a possessor of the Death Note.…or the “Death Tome”, as they call it here.
‘The Simpsons’ have gone completely to anime mode for the mini episode and some images have already been shown of what the characters are going to look like, including Homer and Marge.
The truth is that at first hearing “The Simpsons in anime” can put you off a bit, but the experiment could have turned out much worse and the trailer looks quite promising. This part of the episode has been animated since DR Moviea Korean animation studio that has been involved in ‘The Animatrix’, ‘Masters of the Universe: Revelation’ and ‘The Rising of the Shield Hero’.
And even so, It is not the first crossover between ‘The Simpsons’ and ‘Death Note’since back in 2008 the artist Nina “SpaceCoyote” Matsumoto became very famous for her fanarts of the series in anime style. So much so, that in fact she ended up publishing an official parody for the annual ‘Tree House of Terror’ comic, so to a certain extent this chapter of the series is inspired by said comic.
The episode will air next 30th of October and it will also include a fragment dedicated to ‘Babadook’ and another with a parody of HBO’s ‘Westworld’ series.
