I wish I had the same self-esteem in life that James Cameron had in the promotional campaign for ‘Avatar: The Sense of Water’. Of course, the director knows how to turn heads with terrific bravado. The last, in an interview with ComicBook.com in which he sat down saying “Before I start I want to clarify that I am not going to insult the Marvel or DC universe”… just before insulting them.
here we are
It is clear that Cameron is very confident in his special effects, especially in facial animations. So much so, that when they did compare Weta FX, with whom you work, with ILMhis response was anything but kind and considerate.
Industrial Light & Magic does a great job, but when you see the kind of facial emotionality we’re doing… Thanos? Come now. Give me a break. Have you seen this movie. Not even close. It’s what Weta did.
According to Cameron, who is full of praise for Weta, “Gives you higher quality artists, more tools, plugins, and code to use. You have more talented people writing code. Our team at Weta Digital is constantly hiring new people. makes everything better“. Kevin Feige’s ears must be ringing, although it’s not the first time: let’s remember that Cameron already said that the UCM actors acted as if they were in college.
