After finishing the main series of ‘Fairy Tail’, Hiro Mashima changed the scenery a bit and went from fantasy to science fiction with ‘Edens Zero’. She still lacks time to catch up with her “older sister”, but the manga already has 24 compiled volumes and a first anime season that could be seen on Netflix internationally.
We have known for a long time that there was a second season in the worksand we have finally finished fine-tuning its release date.
Shiki’s return
The first season of ‘Eden’s Zero’ it closed in October 2021, and the gap between seasons has ended up being relatively short. We already had a first trailer a few months ago, but the new trailer for the anime leaves us much better chicha and a look at various characters… And most importantly, that the new chapters will begin to arrive on April 1.
So ‘edens zero‘ fully opens the spring anime season. The first season is available on Netflix, but you have to remember that the manga is published in Kodansha’s Shonen Magazine. A few months ago, the publisher signed a massive agreement with Disney+ to broadcast its anime on the platform, with what could happen as with ‘Tokyo Revengers’ and that ‘Edens Zero’ ends up changing houses.
The second season of the anime is once again animated from JC Staffwith Toshinori Watanabe as director after the death of Yuji Suzuki in 2o21. In principle, the rest of the creative team has been kept to continue adapting Mashima’s original manga.
‘Edens Zero’ follows Shiki Granbell, a human who has always lived surrounded by robots on a planet made up of an abandoned theme park. One day two space travelers arrive on the planet, and Shiki decides to go on an adventure with them in search of Mothera mythical goddess of the cosmos.
