That romantic comedy is dead is not entirely true. It is true that the genre that was popular in the 90s and 2000s is in the doldrums and not as many love stories are released as at that time, but there are always exceptions of those that make us smile.
It was like that with The Lost City, one of the best releases of 2022 in my humble opinion, and it is also the case of the series that we recommend this week, a romantic comedy from Netflix with Spanish label that has been among the most viewed on the platform for days.
smileythe ideal romantic comedy for this Christmas
The series, which is based on a play of the same name by Guillem Clua that premiered in Barcelona, is a romantic comedy ideal to see as a couple and has been positioned according to Espinof experts as one of the best miniseries on netflix.
LGBTIQ+-themed and with love as the flag, the series starring Carlos Cuevas and Miki Esparbé It is the very demonstration of how important it is to have a good cast so that a fresh and entertaining story becomes something more. And it is that this couple has a chemistry on screen that is wonderful.
It all begins with Álex, a young man with a broken heart after the boy with whom he had begun to connect made him the classic ghosting. Angry, Álex picks up the phone and leaves a message on a voicemail asking for explanations. But his impulsiveness was directed at the wrong person because he sends the message to Bruno, a guy he doesn’t know at all. And that’s where life’s coincidences come in because what starts with a misunderstanding could turn into something much bigger than both imagine.
A fresh, entertaining and tender series, one of those that fills your heart and those that make you believe that coincidences in love also exist. And they are wonderful, no matter where you look at them. Christmas plan where they exist.
