As SMASH informed you in a timely manner, Henry Cavill made his official return to the ranks of DC Films to play Superman, a hero he has embodied since 2013 in Man of Steel.
The joy of this return is joined by Dwayne Johnson ‘The Rock’ himself who pointed out that one cannot think of an Extended Universe of DC Comics in the cinema without the presence of Superman.
We fought for years to bring you back.
They always said no.
But to @DanyGarciaCo @hhgarcia41 & myself no” was not an option.
We can’t build out our DCEU w/out the world’s greatest superhero.
And fans will always come first. Welcome home.
I’ll see you down the road.

“We fought for years to bring you back. They always said no. But for Dany Garcia, Hiram Garcia and for myself, “no” was not an option. We can’t build our DC Extended Universe without the world’s greatest superhero. And the fans will always come first. Welcome home. I’ll see you on the road.”
The last time Cavill was seen playing the Man of Steel was in 2017, within Justice League, as well as in Zack Snyder’s: Justice League, which was released on digital platforms in 2021.
