With the tails of the tenth anniversary of the anime, it premiered a few months ago in Japan ‘Psycho-Pass: Providence‘, which revives the franchise on the big screen and has its fans quite happy. Meanwhile here we were a bit to see them coming in case at some point the film would leave Japan, and a few weeks ago Crunchyroll gave us the bombshell that it is indeed going to distribute it internationally.
A new case straight to theaters
Sony and Crunchyroll They made it clear that the premieres were going to arrive during the summer, and they have given us one of lime and one of sand. The good news is that there is already a release date for Spain, and we will be able to see ‘Psycho-Pass: Providence on the big screen because it will hit theaters next August 18th.
Now, what is not very clear is if we will only have that day (or that week) to be able to see it in theaters, because it would not be the first time that some anime movies have extremely limited releases and only last a few days on the billboard. Although since it is distributed by Crunchyroll, if it does not give us time or it does not reach theaters in our city, it is possible that it will end up on the streaming platform later.
The “bad” part is that it seems that ‘Psycho-Pass: Providence’ will only arrive in Japanese with Spanish subtitles. And it’s a shame, because Crunchyroll had been betting a lot on anime dubbing in Spain and they were launched for the premieres of ‘Jujutsu Kaisen 0’ and ‘Suzume’… But it is seen that the detectives of ‘Psycho-Pass’ They are not going to move the public so much and they have not wanted to get wet risking with the dubbing.

‘Psycho-Pass: Providence’ reunites the inspector Akane Tsunemori already Shinya Kogami in a very intriguing case against a paramilitary organization trying to get hold of the Stronskaya Papers, documents that could destroy the Japanese government.
For its part, the ‘Pyscho-Pass’ anime focuses on a police department that is in charge of arresting future criminals thanks to a system capable of predicting the mental state and personality of each individual, and also the possibilities that going to commit a crime.
