Well, after the surprise, Deadline has confirmed new details about the next stone in the MonsterVerse. The first of them is that Adam Wingard will return to command the film again occupying the director’s seat in a job that will reunite him with an old collaborator in what, in my opinion, is the best film in Tennessee.
And it is that ‘Godzilla vs. Kong 2’ has found its leading actor in Dan Stevens. The Briton, in addition to having participated in productions such as ‘Legion’, ‘The Apostle’ or ‘Downton Abbey’, in 2014 led the cast of the fantastic action thriller with an eighties spirit ‘The Guest’ under Wingard’s orders. A signing that suggests that the potential ‘The Guest II’, in which the director and his screenwriter Simon Barrett are already thinking, could be closer than ever.
At the moment there are no more details about the next ‘Godzilla vs. Kong’ but, in addition to giving humans a more appetizing treatment this time, it only remains to be hoped that it repeats the box office figures of its predecessor, which revolutionized the box office pandemic reaping an astonishing $468 million worldwide despite its simultaneous premiere on HBO Max.
