The madness for sneakers keeps going up without stopping. We have infinite options for all tastes, there are the iconic models, but there are always specific models that unleash madness. We turned to two of the platforms with the most data about people’s preferences – leading second-hand e-commerce platform Stockx and fashion portal Lyst – to decipher which sneakers are particularly shining right now.
According to data from Stockx’s recently published BIG FACTS report, this year’s queens are the sneakers of Hoka. especially the model Hoka Anacapa Low Gore-Tex and the collaborations with brands such as Bodega and Moncler. The latter have experienced a sales growth in StockX of 3,606%.

The same report notes that New Balance has experienced a commercial growth of 200% thanks to the success of its model 550 (Seven of the 10 best-selling New Balance shoes on StockX in the first half of 2022 were 550s.) In fact, it specifies that the New Balance and Adidas brands are preferred by StockX users in Spain, experiencing growth of more than 250% and 70% respectively in the first months of the year.

According to the Lyst Index Q2 22 report, fashionable Adidas are the Adidas x Gucci Gazelle and the Adidas Originals x Wales Bonner Samba. The fashion portal also talks about the Nike Air Force 1 as a trend.

Another model that stands out is the VF.01 by Puma LaMelo Ball. StockX notes that it has helped fuel the brand’s trading growth of more than 400% on its platform.

Finally, it is confirmed that collaborations between brands are synonymous with increased sales. Nine of the 10 shoes Under Armor with more transactions in StockX were of the brand collaboration with four-time NBA champion Steph Curry.
