Summaries of the seasons
The series began by recounting how Aurelio Casillas’ life was once he lost his father and had to take care of his family.
He was the older brother and with his mother at an advanced age, Aurelio found himself financially complicated, so he decided to enter the world of drug trafficking.
He started out as an errand boy, but it would not take long for him to become a hit man and this later paved the way for him to become the renowned drug trafficker “El Señor de los Cielos”2.
After he was discovered by the police, Aurelio decides to get a facial change at a clinic. Many believed that he had died, and taking advantage of this, the drug trafficker continued to operate in anonymity and began to rely on his bearing to conquer the women of great power in this world. He managed to be the only leader this season.
However, he was recaptured by the police and they imprisoned him in a Mexican navy bunker. The officers tried to get all the information possible from Aurelio to find the accomplices and went so far as to torture.
Casillas gets freedom, but not satisfied with having to operate under the shadows, he wants more and manages to put one of his puppets in the presidency of Mexico. There he was able to traffic drugs to the United States without major problems.
The Lord of the Skies falls madly in love with Emiliana Contreras and decides to move with her near the mountains. He also begins planning a war against his nephew Victor of his.
In this season, he has to see himself on the run to avoid falling prey to a feared Colombian drug lord nicknamed “El Cabo”, who appears to settle the debt for the death of his son. He is shot in the head which leaves him in a coma.
Here, while some doctors tried to wake him up from a coma, the Casillas create an alliance with their enemies in order to get Aurelio’s brother out of a coma.
In his rescue plan things do not go well and a war breaks out between the governments of Mexico and the United States.
