What was that movie about?
The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen It is a great adventure worldwide. The story takes place in an alternative version of 1899 and it all begins when soldiers in German uniforms and with highly advanced weapons attack the Bank of England, while something similar happens in Berlin with soldiers in British uniforms. Before a World War begins, the British government recruits Allan Quartermain (Sean Connery) to form a group with people with powers to stop the villain called “Ghost”. After many adventures they manage to discover the man behind all the terrorist acts and must learn to work together to stop him and thus save the world.
This film is considered a too loose adaptation of the comics of Alan Moore. So let’s hope the reboot The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen be darker and more cynical.
