At the beginning of the week, Leopoldo Roberto García Peláez Benítez, better known in Mexican entertainment as Polo Polo, died.
His peculiar style of entertaining the public through the off-color jokes that he had told for decades made him one of the precursors of stand-up in Mexico, since his career began to emerge in the late 70s.

Originally from León, Guanajuato, Polo Polo lived his childhood in the historic center of his city, specifically on Zaragoza street.

This revelation contrasts with the characteristic personality of Polo Polo, who, due to several of his spicy jokes, where he spoke of priests as well as God, the devil and hell, could have been considered an ideal candidate to be excommunicated.
