“I have started 2023 being a Pisces what a year of fucking shit.” With this strong statement, Ibai Plains made social networks burn with the latest news of the moment: the signs of the zodiac changed according to Ophiuchus, completely transforming what we knew so far. But far from being true, this commotion is not a novelty: every few years “new theories” appear that have even led NASA to intervene to dispel all doubts that are generated.
The news that with the new year the new official calendar for the signs of the Zodiac came into force (thus changing the astral chart) spread like foam and went viral on social networks. Far from being real news, it is only part of an eternal hoax -Ibai llanos was in charge of setting Twitter on fire after echoing the news-.

A hoax that has been with us for several years now
All this commotion has come (again) from wanting to add Ophiuchus to the astrological calendar. Although this constellation was already known to the Greeks (it is estimated that it was first seen 4,000 years ago), in 1995, Jacqueline Mitton, from the Royal British Astronomical Society, began to speculate about it. Among her arguments, she supported the theory that the zodiac should be composed of 13 signs, instead of 12 – each planet is supposed to have an assigned zodiac sign.
👀 We see your comments about a zodiac story that re-emerges every few years. No, we did not change the zodiac.
When the Babylonians invented the constellations 3,000 years ago, they chose to leave out a 13th sign. So, we did the math: https://t.co/DQOs5VSjT7 pic.twitter.com/WlblguobGT

Every beginning of the year the theories about the new sign of the zodiac return, however in 2020 NASA released a statement in which it assured that “When the Babylonians invented the constellations 3,000 years ago, they decided to omit a thirteenth sign. So we did the math.” Therefore, you can rest easy, Scorpio friend: you will continue to have a bad reputation, even though we all know that you are affable.
