With three awards (Best Supporting Actor for Tyler James Williams, Best Actress for Quinta Brunson and Best Comedy Series) at the last Golden Globes, the North American chain ABC did not want to miss the opportunity and has renewed the wonderful ‘Abbott College’ (Abbott Elementary) for a season 3.
The news comes in full broadcast of season 2which still does not have a release date on Disney+ (it took us a few months for the first one to arrive), in which the misadventures of this group of teachers from a poorly financed public school follow.
Secure future
Also, it seems that the series is going for more seasons. At least that is deduced from the words of Craig Erwichthe president of ABC Entertainment, who assures in a recent interview with Variety:
“The show is in its second season and I think it just continues to grow creatively. Season 2, which is the one we’re looking at, each character becomes more dynamic, and the situations are funnier. So the series has years ahead of it. As for the future of ‘Abbott’, I am constantly pleased and surprised by what Quinta and his team do.”
Brunson creates and stars in this comedy as Janine Teagues. Along with Williams, the cast consists of Janelle James as Ava Coleman, Lisa Ann Walker as Melissa Schemmenti, Chris Perfetti Like Jacob Hill William Stanford Davis like Mr. Johnson and Sheryl Lee Ralph like Barbara Howard.
