The return of Ezra Miller as Barry Allen/Flash is a movie that fans of the DC Universe have been waiting for, and one of the questions surrounding this movie is whether fans of all ages will be able to see the film.
The Motion Pictures Association of America announced that The Flash will have a PG-13 rating, which is for informational purposes only, so all audiences will be able to enjoy this film in theaters.
The reasons for which this classification was granted, according to the organization, was for “sequences of violence and action, strong language and partial nudity”.
In Mexico, the General Directorate of Radio Television and Cinematography, under the Ministry of the Interior, has not yet reported what classification The Flash will have in Mexico, although it would not be ruled out that it has a B or B-15 classification, suitable for adolescents and adults.
The DC Universe will see a clash of worlds
Worlds collide in The Flash when Barry uses his superpowers to travel through time and change the events of the past. But when his attempt to save his family inadvertently alters the future, Barry is trapped in a reality where General Zod has returned, threatening annihilation, and there are no superheroes to turn to.
That is, unless Barry can bring a very different Batman out of retirement and rescue an imprisoned Kryptonian… even if it’s not the one he’s looking for.
Ultimately, to save the world he finds himself in and return to the future he knows, Barry’s only hope is to run for his life. But will making the ultimate sacrifice be enough to restart the universe?
With the script by Christina Hodson, The Flash will be directed by Argentine filmmaker Andrés Muschetti and will have Ezra Miller in the role of Barry Allen / Flash, Sasha Calle as Supergirl, Maribel Verdú as Nora Allen and Kiersey Clemons as Iris West.
The Flash will feature performances by Michael Keaton and Ben Affleck, both as Bruce Wayne/Batman.
The premiere of The Flash in movie theaters will take place on June 16, 2023.
