Adopting what other studies and adventure sagas do, the final chapter of The Walking Dead could have a post-credits scene, which establishes ties with new series derived from this program.
Scott M. Gimple, showrunner and executive producer of The Walking Dead, pointed out in an interview with Entertainment Weekly that although the filming of the series has ended, including post-credit scenes is still being analyzed.
“I just have to say, maybe. We’re up to some stuff, so maybe… We’re literally working on a couple of things right now. So there are a couple of ways it could go.”
Would the end of The Walking Dead be connected to any spinoff?
One of the possibilities that enter the possible post-credits scene of the final episode is to connect to the plot of the spin-off series headed by Darryl Dixon, the character played by Norman Reedus.
Dan McDermott, president of the AMC chain, gave some details of this new spin-off series, whose filming will begin shortly.
“The series will follow Daryl as he wakes up to find himself somewhere on the European continent and tries to piece together what happened. How did you get here? How is he going to get home?”
While another option is The Walking Dead: Dead City, starring Jeffrey Dean Morgan and Lauren Cohan, a series that will focus on Negan and Maggie’s journey to Manhattan, an island dominated by the walking dead, who found a way to enter New York territory. .
