Little by little, the return of ‘Jujutsu Kaisen’ is getting closer with a highly anticipated new arc that will also investigate more into the past of Satoru Gojo and Suguru Geto as students.
After sweeping ‘Jujutsu Kaisen 0’ as an intermission, this year the main anime finally returns, and if although MAPPA is having quite a schedule, the new trailer for the series promises that the quality will live up to what we expect.
Back to the past
The second season of ‘Jujutsu Kaisen’ will cover two arcs: the Gojo’s Past Arc and the Shibuya Incident Arc, one of the most intense manga. For now we have not seen much of the latter, but the anime has already been teaching us little by little more things about how it was the adolescent days of Gojo, Geto and Ieri.
We already knew that the new episodes of the series would start in the summer and now the final release date for the next one has also been confirmed. July 6th.
For now there are not too many big premieres announced by then, so ‘Jujutsu Kaisen’ could become the star of the season without breaking a sweat.
‘Jujutsu Kaisen’ adapts the urban fantasy manga of Gege Akutami. The story revolves around Yuji Itadori, a teenager with an ordinary life until one day he saves a classmate who has been attacked by a curse. To save him he eats the finger of the legendary sorcerer Sukuna and is possessed by his spirit, so to learn to control him he is invited to join the Tokyo School of Sorcerers.
