Released at the end of November 2022, ‘Willow’ worked as a sequel to the legendary film released in 1988 and, obviously, recovers the character played by Warwick Davis. Despite the good critical reception, the series has not achieved the desired support -I remember that there was some talk about it coinciding with its launch but then the weekly cadence did not play in its favor in this case- and they decided to cut their losses.
Change of trend in Disney +?
Of course, in lucasfilm They still consider that the ‘Willow’ franchise is very important to them, so they don’t rule out returning to it later. Whether it is true or simply to give a better image with the news of its cancellation is something that we cannot know right now.

Let’s not forget that this particular platform recently reported multimillion-dollar losses and Wall Street has already made it clear that they are getting tired of millions being spent without a clear economic return.
It fits in that line that Disney+ also recently canceled ‘We are the best: A new era’ and ‘the mister’…
