‘Boku no Hero Academia’ has been immersed in its final arc for some time now and fans have been eagerly awaiting the outcome of the story since this latest saga started back in 2021. The superhero manga is one of the biggest titles in the Weekly Shōnen Jump and there is a lot of expectation to see how it ends, and it is seen that the pressure is taking its toll on its author.
Although he had picked up his pace again after the previous hiatus, it seems that the health of Kohei Horikoshi is failing again and the series has had to be paused again.
Temporary and sudden rest
In December Horikoshi suddenly fell ill and it is seen that he has not fully recovered, because the manga has entered a two week hiatus. According to Shonen Jump News, ‘Boku no Hero Academia’ will not be published again until issue 12 of Weekly Shonen Jump magazine.
My Hero Academia is on a sudden break in Weekly Shonen Jump Issue #10 this week as well as Issue #11 next week due to Kohei Horikoshi’s poor health. Series will be resuming in Issue #12.

Chapter 380 of the manga was supposed to be published on February 6, but it seems that the usual publication will not be resumed until the 20th. Since November, Horikoshi has had to take several breaks due to his health and with the short hiatuses he has not fully recovered.
After Kentaro Miura’s deathIt seems that the Japanese industry is giving more importance to taking care of its authors and it is becoming more and more common for series to take small breaks from time to time. The creator of ‘Black Clover’ also needed a break recently, and there we have the case of ‘Hunter x Hunter‘, possibly changing the publication calendar to one that is not weekly so that its author can work more calmly on the chapters.
In any case, let’s hope that Horikoshi can recover in these two weeks and that his health doesn’t suffer anymore.
