Shakira’s new collaboration with Karol G, the one with which he will fulfill his trilogy of songs with which to “sink” his ex-partner Gerard Piqué, already has a release date. The “bichota” herself has confirmed that This Friday, February 24, his song ‘TQG’ (‘You looked great’) It will already be available on all platforms and be careful because we have already had access to part of the lyrics of the new hit by the singer of ‘Te felicito’.
This is Shakira’s first collaboration with a female artist in nine years. After having starred in the Super Bowl break with Jennifer López and her hit ‘Beautiful Liar’ (“Bello liar”, translated into Latin Spanish) with Beyoncé, now the singer from Barranquilla dares with Karol G.
How could it be otherwise, again the lyrics of ‘Te quedo grande’ are dedicated to former FC Barcelona soccer player and president of the Kings League. The lyrics of ‘TQG’
As announced by ‘Telemundo’ journalist Andrea Meza after a first exclusive listening to the song, some of the verses of the song are “At least with me, I kept you pretty” and “You going out to look for food and me thinking it was monotony“.
The first of the phrases is sung by Karol G so it could go addressed to his also ex and singer Anuel AAwith whom his relationship ended in March 2022, almost a year ago. the second verseas you may well have deduced from the nod to his song ‘Monotonía’ with Ozuna, Shakira sings it and, therefore, it is dedicated to Gerard Piqué.
Once again, Shakira also refers to “food”, an analogy that could not only be thought of for her ‘Monotonía’ video clip in the supermarket, but could also be a nod to the supposed jam in her fridge for which, presumably, she would have discovered Piqué’s infidelity with Clara Chía.
