The recent death of Queen isabel II shook the whole world, including the production of “The Crown”, the popular series based on the life of the British monarch. And it is that just a few hours after the loss of Lilibeth, it was reported that it will temporarily stop filming its sixth season “out of respect”.
Through a statement, the executive producer of the series, Peter Morgan, spoke about it in a brief statement released to the specialized press in Hollywood.
“’The Crown’ is a love letter to her and I have nothing to add for now, just silence and respect. I hope we also stop filming for a while out of respect“, Said the director to later confirm the temporary interruption of filming.
It should be noted that since its premiere six years ago, this Netflix production has won 21 Emmy Awards. And, in its new installment, scheduled for next November, will focus on the legacy of Elizabeth II in the 21st century.

The statement issued by Peter Morgan was not the only message from some figure in the entertainment world about the unexpected loss of the British monarch.
In fact, the award-winning London interpreter Helen Mirren, who starred in the film “The Queen”, could not help speaking about the event and defined herself as “proud to be Elizabethan”. “We mourn a woman who, with or without the crown, was the epitome of nobility”he added inside his Instagram message.
