‘Stranger Things’ is the series of the moment. One of the most talked about topics following the premiere of season 4 on Netflix is the contrast between the real age and the fictional age of its cast of young actors. On this subject, the Duffer brothers have commented that it is very likely that they will enter a time jump ahead of the fifth and final season.
they grow fast
The three-year delay produced by seasons 3 and 4 has not gone unnoticed, compared to the internal time of the series, in which only a year has passed between the events of one and the other. The youngest actors, who started the series in 2016 as pre-teens, they are mostly of legal age despite the fact that their characters are fifteen years old.
The Duffers, creators and producers of the series, are aware and have announced that they see necessary to put a time jump in the fifth seasonso that the appearance of the cast corresponds to the age of the characters.
“I’m sure we’ll make a leap in time” confirms Ross Duffer, whom he would have liked to shoot seasons 4 and 5 in a row but “there has been no feasible way to do it.” Although not much information about that season 5 has been revealed, Netflix has confirmed that it will be the last and will mark the end of the adventures of Eleven and his friends.
The Duffers assure that the story has already been thought of for seven years, although right now they have other priorities above the outcome of the series: “Believe it or not, we are still working on season 4” they explained. “We are trying to finish the last two episodes, they are huge.”
We will have to wait until July 1 to see what those last two episodes of ‘Stranger Things’ hold for us.
