During the Jump Festa, obviously ‘Chainsaw Man’ also had his little hole and Tatsuki Fujimoto shared a letter addressed to his fans in which he talked about how he is enjoying the anime. Right now the series is nearing its end with some very intense confrontations that have us biting our nails, and it seems that the mangaka himself is not immune to the effect that his characters have.

It hurts more in the second round
Like the fans, he is also fond of Himeno, who has become one of the most popular characters of the season, so her death in this part of the story did not sit well with him.
“I don’t know when you’ll be reading this, but I’m sure the anime is going very well. In the second half of the ‘Chainsaw Man’ anime, Himeno is at the center of all the drama. Himeno’s death in the series is one of the hardest shocks at this plot point and Fujimoto says that it has affected him even more by revisiting that part of his manga..
“I felt a kind of unpleasant comfort, that Himeno had also left something in me,” wrote the mangaka. “I don’t reread my own manga often, but I’m excited to receive something like this on these occasions. I don’t know where the anime is at right now, but I hope I can continue to enjoy it with all of you in the future.”
