In the midst of a massive withdrawal of titles from the HBO Max catalog and the cancellation of many ongoing European projects, the platform has just announced a new series whose development is ongoing: ‘Monkeys with guns’the new comedy created by Álex de la Iglesia and Carolina Bang.

Precisely, ’30 Coins’ is one of the few European projects that continue forward. Your Creator Alex de la Iglesia and Carolina Bang (executive producer and creative and sentimental partner of the filmmaker) have been launched to another series of totally opposite genre: ‘Monkeys with guns’ is his new project, produced by Pokeepsie Films.
The series will be comedy about the world of footballstarring a former footballer turned player agent who sees his current promising situation go to waste when his best player leaves and his girlfriend leaves him.
The project has been defined as “a dramatic comedy” with an “acidic vision” of the world of elite sports and today’s society, and will feature 7 episodes of 30 minutes.
Your cast will consist of Hugo Silva (‘Paco’s men’), Dafne Fernandez (‘Perfect Strangers’), Gorka Otxoa (‘Pagafantas’), Oscar Casas (‘The orphanage’), Kira Miro (‘Ferpect Crime’), Michelangelo Alone (‘Midas’ favourites’) and Diogo Sales (‘Game of Thrones’). In the direction will be Secun de la Rosa (‘El Cover’), Adolfo Martínez (‘Hostile Zone’) and Rodrigo Ruiz Gallardón.
‘Monkeys with a Gun’ is based on the original idea of Bang and the Church, developed by the screenwriters Jorge Valdano Sáenz (‘Los Serrano’) and Pablo Tébar (‘Servir y Protección’). Its filming has already begun in Madrid and can be seen soon on HBO Max.
