We are in dates close to Christmas that traveling to any destination in Europe is a success. The cities are adorned with beautiful lights, trees and markets that are worth visiting. And the department stores are decked out to offer their best face.
If you travel to London, a fantastic and especially beautiful destination at this time, going to Harrods is a must. And more this year, which has been decorated in a very special way because Harrods dresses in Dior until January 3 and London is filled with Parisian elegance. An authentic Christmas fantasy, full of luxury, elegance and glamor.
Shop windows that are pure fantasy
since the year 1953, Christian Dior began to have very strong and special ties with Harrods, considered the epicenter of British luxury in London. A good relationship that grew thanks to numerous and iconic collaborations, which continue today with this innovative and exclusive creation.
you can’t miss The Fabulous World of Dior, the first takeover total from Harrods by Dior. It is the first time that a luxury brand has at its disposal the store whole. The façade, the shop windows and the interior of the famous department stores are adorned with lighting that recalls the entire universe of the maison.
In addition, inside it has two pop up, an ideal exhibition and a coffee, and they are sold exclusive products made just for this occasion.
miniature exhibition
The miniature exhibition of the life of Dior is an immersive 15-minute experience in a micro-sized town, executed with symbolic Dior buildings and gardens such as 30 Avenue Montaigne in Paris (the legendary address of the fashion house), the Villa de Granville (the home of Dior’s childhood in Normandy) and the Château de la Colle Noire (his elegant Perfume House in Montauroux).
A micro-village with mockups made of gingerbread cookies to give that extra Christmassy touch.
Two pop up dreamlike
Within Harrods we are also going to find a pop-up designed as a real gingerbread housewhich represents Monsieur Dior’s Atelier, at 30 Montaigne, and where we can learn about the curiosities and history of the firm’s most iconic creations.
And a second one, it’s a beautiful gift shopwhere you can find very special pieces: bags, sweaters, shoes, t-shirts… and options created especially for the occasion.
The Lady Dior factory
A Lady Dior ‘factory’ has also been set up in the accessories department at Harrods: the iconic handbag worn by the Princess of Wales has its own Santa workshop, and customers will be able to create their own Lady Dior from a selection of exotic skins and customizable models.
An ideal coffee
And to complete this wonderful visit, what better option than to have a coffee. Yes, there is also an ideal cafeteria to have a break, accompanied by gingerbread cookies made in the shape of Dior’s most iconic pieces. such as handbags or perfumes, and products from French cuisine.
