One of the big surprises that Batman Part II awaits is the incorporation of one of the most fearsome villains of the Dark Knight, Clayface.
The Batman Part II is taking shape, and although the release date for the year 2025 is already known, the antagonists of the story are beginning to emerge, such is the case of Clayface.
In the first tape, four representatives of the Dark Knight’s gallery of villains paraded, as is the case with Penguin, Riddler, Catwoman and a small cameo from Joker, who is a prisoner in Arkham.
Director Matt Reeves has confirmed that Basil Karlo, better known as Clayface, will be present in the plot of The Batman Part II.

DC Comics
In the comics, Clayface made his debut in the pages of Detective Comics #40, when Batman and Robin find themselves investigating murders that take place on a movie set, where a movie that previously starred Basil Karlo is being filmed.
Throughout its 80 years of existence, Clayface has had different bearers of this power, highlighting Matt Hagen, Clayface II, who, when in contact with a strange substance, has the ability to change its volume to take the shape of any person.
Will we see a Clayface solo movie?
Filmmaker Mike Flanagan, who was in charge of Doctor Sleep and Oiuja, met with James Gunn and Oeter Safran, presidents of DC Studios, to offer a Clayface movie, although Matt Reeves included this villain as part of Batman II.
Well I’ve wanted to do a Superman movie since I was a kid, but I would also be really keen to do a standalone Clayface movie as a horror/thriller/tragedy. https://t.co/68nZFLOGLT

Matt Reeves also hinted at Hush’s presence in the sequel’s plot, which could adapt the story published between 2002 and 2003 by Jeph Loeb and Jim Lee.
This new Batman tape, as well as Joker: Foilè a Deux belong to the DC Elseworlds label, and will not affect the Gods and Monsters chapter of the DC Universe, planned by Peter Safran and James Gunn.
The release date of The Batman II is scheduled for October 3, 2025, one year after the premiere of Joker: Foliè a Deux.
The Batman is now available through digital video stores and the HBO Max digital platform.
