What is your success? As curious as it may sound, in its exaltation of the most absolute normality. It may sound strange, even absurd, but it is something that has become a necessity in an era when most networks have been accused of promoting superficiality and even toxicity.
And you, what are you doing right now?
Unlike other social networks that want people to post as many times as possible, BeReal only wants you to spend a couple of minutes a day. Is seriously! The application sends a single notification at a random time throughout the day and from then on provides a maximum of two minutes for the user to take a simultaneous photo of themselves and their surroundings. The objective is for people to show their reality and their naturalness, or what more and more people know as sharing a BeReal.
And if the alert catches you at a bad time? Don’t worry, you’ll still be able to capture, which is not the same as making a BeReal. The app will display the post, but accompanied by a notification that the post is late. This in order to avoid that the shared images are premeditated and therefore lack the reality required by the name of the app itself: be real (be real).
The charm does not end here. In an effort to bring naturalness to the maximum, BeReal does not have the pre-installed filters of other networks such as Instagram, while its nature does not favor the propagation of the so-called aesthetics. Reality taken to the max.
What it does allow are reactions with the use of more photos! Preferably selfies that show your reaction to seeing the images on the screen. Although of course, old-fashioned comments are also allowed. An extremely refreshing notion that could give a new life to social networksbut who must also face a greater challenge such as the much feared routine.
