We already know that the second season of ‘Made in Abyss’ is practically falling after a long wait after the last installment of the anime. The new chapters will pick up the story directly after the events of the film ‘Made in Abyss: Dawn of the Deep Soul’which adapts a story arc from the manga and is canon within the story.
The first season of the anime at the time could be seen in Spain in streaming but until now the film had not reached our country… although things are going to change very soon.
Better late than never
The bad news is that there is still no specific date for the premiere of the second season of ‘Made in Abyss‘ Nor can we know for sure if it can be seen in simulcast from Spain. The good news is that if we still had to catch up on the story for the new chapters, Selecta Vision has confirmed that it has licensed the anime film.
‘Made in Abyss: Dawn of the Deep Soul’as it will be officially called in our country, will premiere directly on Movistar+ next May 20th. The ‘Made in Abyss’ movie premiered in Japan in January 2020, so it arrives in Spain more than two years late.
It should be noted that although ‘Made in Abyss: Dawn of the Deep Soul’ is technically the third film in the franchise, the previous two movies are compilations of the first season of the anime or filler, so they are not necessary to follow the main story.
More news about the dubbing of the film has not yet been confirmed, but since Selecta Vision is the distributor, it is very possible that it will also be available with a Spanish dubbing and we will have more news when the date is over.
According to the synopsis of the film: ‘Dawn of the Deep Soul’ continues the epic adventure of the brave Riko and Reg, who are joined on their journey by their new friend Nanachi. Together they descend into the treacherous fifth layer of the Abyss, the Sea of Corpses, where they encounter the mysterious Bondrewd, a legendary White Whistle whose shadow hangs over Nanachi’s troubled past. Bondrewd is very hospitable, but the brave adventurers know that things are not always what they seem in the enigmatic Abyss…
