Little by little, news about season 2 of ‘The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power’ is coming, because Amazon has now announced the hiring of three new actors for the Prime Video series. These interpreters join both those who already participated in the first and are repeating, as well as the signings that were already announced last December.
Who are the three new signings
The three new additions to the ‘Rings of Power’ are those of Ciarán Hinds, Rory Kinnear and tanya moodie. We have been able to see the former in series such as ‘Roma’ or ‘The Terror’, and not long ago he was an Oscar contender for his acclaimed work in ‘Belfast’, while the latter was one of the protagonists of ‘Years and Years’ and the third was General Parnadee in ‘Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker’.
It is clear that the most striking signing is that of Hinds, but since Amazon did not want to share any information about which characters they will play each one of them. Similarly, we also have no data on which papers went to Oliver Alvin-Wilson, Stuart Bowman, Gavi Singh Chera, William Chubb, Kevin Eldon, Will Keen, Selina Lo, Calam Lynch, Gabriel Akuwudike, Yasen “Zates” Atour, Ben Daniels, Amelia Kenworthy, Nia Towle, and Nicholas Woodeson.
The second season of ‘The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power’ is currently filming. The bulk of the recordings will take place in the United Kingdom, but it is also known that some of them are taking place in Spain. Let’s remember that the first one was shot entirely in New Zealand, so we will have to be attentive to see if this change will affect the visual finish of the series in any way. Of course, we will still have to wait for theirs to verify it, that its premiere is not scheduled until 2024.
