In 2015, Brian K. Vaughan and Cliff Chiang created one of the best comic series of the decade (and that’s saying something): what began as a friendly 80s story about girls delivering newspapers ended up becoming a fight through space-time original, fun and unique. Now, the television adaptation on Amazon Prime Video of the 30 numbers of ‘paper girls’ are presented in a teaser that reveals the faces of the characters, but not the release date.

In this first approach we see Erin, Mac, KJ and Tiffany lit by different lights, with their voices playing in the background, a good first contact for those who don’t know anything about ‘Paper girls’. Sofia Rosinsky, Camryn Jones, Riley Lai Nelet and Fina Strazza They will be the protagonists, although we already know that both the comedian Ali Wong and Nate Corddry (‘For all mankind’) will appear.
was originally stephanie folsom the one in charge of bringing the comic to the screen, but after developing the nine episodes of the series she separated from the project halfway through filming, leaving her partner in charge Christopher C Rogers. Folsom has participated in the scripts for ‘Toy Story 4’, ‘The Lord of the Rings’ (in the Amazon Prime Video version) and ‘Star Wars: The Resistance’.
While it’s not usually a good sign when showrunners abandon their shows while they’re still being made, there is hope for ‘paper girls’, especially with Vaughan and Chiang as producers. Of course, when many have heard “80s” and “bikes” they have thought that it is the new ‘Stranger things’. Luckily this has the potential to be completely different.
