With Jenna Ortega embodying everything we imagine of the Addams Family teenager, Netflix has released a terrific new trailer for ‘Wednesday‘ (Wednesday). The promising series brings back the mythical characters this coming fall. Of course, we still do not know a specific date, although October is taken for granted.
With Tim Burton to the baton as director and executive producer, we already saw this morning that the aesthetic was going to be more linked to the original vignettes (and the sixties animated series) Than to Barry Sonnenfeld movies. And the truth is that, at least, in motion it looks quite good.
A terrifying coming of age
In this series, which features the pen of Alfred Gough and Miles Miller (‘Smallville’) will follow the young Wednesday as she enters the Never Again Academy, where she will learn to better control her powers while trying to stop the wave of monstrous murders that threaten the tranquility of the town.
Accompanying Ortega are Catherine Zeta-Jones and Luis Guzman like her parents, Morticia and Gomez; In addition, the cast is completed with Hunter Doohan, Georgie Farmer, Moosa Mostafa, Emma Myers, Naomi J. Ogawa, Joy Sunday, Percy Hynes White, Thora Birch, Riki Lindhome, Jamie McShane and the special participation of Christina Ricci.
