Sudden changes continue on the Telecinco grid. If we were recently surprised by the renewal of ‘Nightmare in Paradise’, the chain has once again made a clearly risky move: moving ‘Coffee with the aroma of a woman’ to compete directly against ‘Pasapalabra’.

The open broadcast of ‘Café con aroma de mujer’, the Colombian series that has garnered more than positive numbers on Netflix, was the Mediaset’s commitment to recover soap operas. It premiered last Wednesday, November 2 at 7:15 p.m. and the result was not entirely satisfactory.
Its premiere with double episode it only managed to gather a 9.5% share and 964,000 viewers and things have not improved with the passing of days. However, the reaction on the part of Telecinco has been to relocate the program to an even more disputed slot: from 8:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
If, when the program started in the time slot in which it competed against ‘YNow Sonsoles’, it ended up having a negative impact on ‘Sálvame’ (the program that preceded it on the grid) and did not gain viewers, reduce its broadcast and occupying only the ‘Pasapalabra’ slot is doing you a disservice to the series.
‘Pasapalabra’ is now one of Antena 3’s flagships (reaching 4,336,000 viewers yesterday in its golden minute) and practically no alternative manages to unseat it from its leadership. This decision seems like the death sentence for fiction starring William Levy, who Very possibly I will end up following in the footsteps of ‘Pasión de gavilanes’ and be relegated to Divinity.
