2022 has been a difficult year for Telecinco, which has touched all-time lows with many of the programs that worked for it before and has seen how some of its long-awaited new premieres failed miserably. Still, the chain has renewed ‘Got Talent’ for a season 9.
New season
Telecinco’s continued failures throughout 2022 have made the network cling tooth and nail to programs that perform well enough, or at least compared to its current data.
‘Got Talent Spain’, without being a hit, it did work somewhat better and managed to stand out above the rest of the programs on the network’s grid. The contest has just closed its 8th season (with the victory of the magician Jordi Caps) and Mediaset has already renewed it for a 9th season.
Although its audience data has managed to stand out from the average of its trend throughout 2022, it pales when compared to the program’s trajectory. The 8 has been The least-watched season in the history of ‘Got Talent’with a loss of over a million viewers.
The talent show team has gotten down to work for the next edition. We will still have to wait to find out an approximate release date or if Santi Millán will repeat as presenter and Dani Martín, Edurne, Paula Echevarría and Risto Mejide as jury.
