Let’s remember the Crisis on Infinite Earths event, where in its second part the versions of Superman and Lois Lane played by Tyler Hoechlin and Elizabeth Tuloch traveled to the Smallville universe to meet Clar Kent, played by Tom Welling.
That is one of the moments that although it was brief, many fans were left wanting to see more of Tom Welling and Erica Durance, but Todd Helbing, showrunner of the series, acknowledged that he would love to see Michael Rosenbaum as Lex Luthor.
In an interview with the Looper site, Helbing acknowledged that he would like to see Rosenbaun as a great villain, similar to how he was presented in Smallville.
“That’s a good point, that Michael Rosenbaum should play a villain on the show. It’s fantastic. He was an amazing Lex”.
The showrunner also noted that he does not rule out working to see more of Tom Welling and Erica Durance on stage.
“I love what they did with Tom Welling and Erica getting married, and that farm is so iconic. I would love to see either of those two on our show. I’m still not sure how we would fit in with them. but that would be so much fun”
Superman and Lois is broadcast on The CW in the United States. In Mexico and Latin America, the episodes of the two seasons are on the HBO Max platform.
