the plot of ‘Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero’ recover to the Red Ribbon Army, one of Goku’s enemies in the classic ‘Dragon Ball’ series. But in the midst of new powers and transformations, there are certain moments of fanservice for the most attentive fans and one of them is about Dr. Gero and his androids.
At the beginning of the anime film we are introduced to the Dr Hedo, the leader of the new Red Ribbon Army and a scientist with some ties to Dr. Gero from ‘Dragon Ball Z’. In addition to the androids that we already knew, ‘Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero’ has introduced into the mix the android 21 with an important revelation: Gero used his own wife to build it.
As shown at one point, Dr. Gero was married to a woman named I vomitedand this was the base for Android 21. It is not very clear how this transformation took place or how he built it, but the film also confirms that the base for Android 16 was their son, Gevo.
The android 21 is the main villain of the video game ‘Dragon Ball FighterZ’, and is one of the new characters that has had the best reception recently. So with this little detail, she is now that Android 21 is canon within the world of animeso it should not be ruled out that we can see more of her in the future.
This sequence also leaves us with the revelation that Dr. Hedo is the grandson of Dr. Hedo and the nephew of Gevo… so we are missing a branch in the family tree. ‘Dragon Ball’ already has new animated projects underway, so perhaps this family of supervillains will continue to be explored in new installments of the franchise.
