Actor Chris Pratt explains why Star Lord is different in Guardians of the Galaxy from the rest of the Marvel movies.
We have been able to see Peter Quill / Star Lord in two installments of Guardians of the Galaxy (2014 and 2017), Avengers: Infinity War (2018) and Avengers: Endgame (2019). Also now it will be in Thor: Love and Thunderthe 2022 Christmas special and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 (2023). So it will leave its mark on the Marvel Studios Cinematic Universe.
In a recent interview, it was the Chris Pratt who has revealed that star lord It’s different when you’re with James Gunn in Guardians of the Galaxywith respect to the rest of deliveries of Marvel.
“Well, you know, there’s James Gunn’s Peter Quill and then there’s the Peter Quill that has existed outside of James Gunn, who is in cameos in The Avengers and now in Thor. And truly, the Peter Quill that I do when James is in charge is an extension of him. And the Star Lord that I do when he’s not in charge is really nice of me to let me do a little bit more than he probably wants me to, in a way. So I guess the difference would be that.”
It seems that James Gunn doesn’t let him improvise so much Chris Pratt like other directors like the russo brothers either Taika Waititi.
“James Gunn has an approach to Quill that isn’t in Thor or The Avengers. And we’ll see how that plays out when he gets out. I mean, obviously we’re dealing with the ending of Avengers: Endgame and where he left the Guardians of the Galaxy with Thor. We’ll see how that kind of transition works to set up Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3.”
Thor: Love and Thunder will premiere on July 8, 2022. While Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 will hit theaters on May 5, 2023. Without forgetting that the rest of the installments in which Star Lord of Chris Pratt has intervened are in the Disney Plus streaming platform.
