First it was a hugely successful webtoon that has taken the internet by storm and finally has its own anime series on the horizon. It’s been on its way to a year since it was announced that there was a ‘Solo Leveling’ series in the works, but A-1 Pictures it has finally released a slightly juicier trailer and has even taken a risk with a release date… although it will arrive later than we expected.
The Korean hit on the move
‘Just Leveling’ is a manhwa (Korean “manga”) by Chugong and Dubu that started publishing in 2016 and jumped to webtoon in 2018. It’s already a bombshell in the field of webtoons and he even has a video game on the way to immerse us fully in his universe.
The story follows jinwoo sung, who is known as the weakest “hunter” within the Hunter Association. One day he falls in luck (or misfortune) on a particularly dangerous mission but against all odds he manages to survive. In addition, a program chooses him as the only player and he begins to “level up” by giant steps and become a true prodigy.
crunchyroll has already confirmed that it will be rebroadcast on simulcast, but the bad news is that although we originally expected the ‘Solo Leveling’ anime for this year, it seems that it will finally go to winter 2024with which it is very possible that it will be released from next january.

Perhaps the delay has only been one or two months, but it is clear that A-Pictures has wanted to play it safe with the production of the anime. The studio is having quite a few problems lately and has already hiatused the ‘NieR: Automata’ series twice, so perhaps their entire schedule has been thrown upside down.
The good thing is that we have a preview that looks quite promising and ‘Only Leveling’ goes without much competition to be one of the most anticipated anime of 2024… Now all we have to do is cross our fingers that the delay in the premiere means that the quality and the creative team haven’t been affected too much.
