Calvin Cordozar Broadus, artistically known as Snoop Dogg, is once again facing a lawsuit from a woman who claims to have been sexually assaulted by the American rapper nine years ago.
On July 21, according to the magazine rollstone, Snoop Dogg, 50, has been sued again for a sexual assault he allegedly committed on a woman identified as Jane Doe inside a recording studio in 2013.
The alleged victim, identified only as Jane Doe, sued the rapper, for the first time, in federal court in Los Angeles on February 9, alleging that after a Snoop Dogg concert in Anaheim, California, he went to the house of Bishop Don ‘Magic’ Juan, partner of the rapper, to work together in the recording studio, where she was sexually assaulted by both.
However, in April, the plaintiff’s allegations were voluntarily dismissed after the rapper petitioned the court for missing a filing deadline, prompting Doe to file the lawsuit in another California district court. .
At that time, Snoop’s legal team considered the sexual assault and injury lawsuit “extortive” and “baseless” to which a defamation claim is now added, claiming to have suffered “intimidation and coercion” after a publication that The Californian singer shared on his Instagram account the same day as the private mediation session between Jane Doe and Snoop Dogg’s legal teams:
Gold digger season is here, be careful, keep your guard up.
Additionally, in the revived lawsuit, Jane Doe claims that one of Snoop Dogg’s spokespeople revealed her identity and that the rapper threatened to demand “tens of millions of dollars” in retaliation.
In response to the lawsuit, a spokesperson for Snoop Dogg sent the following statement to rolling stone:
The complaint filed against Snoop Dogg by Jane Doe and her attorney is without merit. Follow Jane Doe’s attorney who, a few months ago, voluntarily dismissed his earlier complaint. […] As before, this filed complaint is, again, riddled with and based on falsehoods and inaccuracies. Snoop Dogg hopes to prove these accusations false.
