The objective of Pitch Guadalajara of the Guadalajara Film Festival 2023 is to promote a meeting between projects, allies and the industry, in such a way that filmmakers and producers contact the proposals of their interest
The Guadalajara International Film Festival (FICG), within its Industry programs, announces the selection of the second edition of Pitch Guadalajara, the first open format program aimed at Ibero-American films and series in an advanced stage of development, the which is divided into Formative Pitch, Fantastic Genre Pitch and Literary Pitch.

The objective of Pitch Guadalajara is to promote a three-day meeting between projects, allies and the industry, in such a way that agents or representatives of any cinematographic entity can come into contact with the proposals of their interest and help them to be carried out. This edition will take place from June 4 to 6.
June 4: Schools on stage
The first day (June 4) belongs to Pitch Formativo, where five Mexican film schools will be represented by a project preselected by them:
Kenya, by Alejandro Zuno; on behalf of the Cinematographic Training Center, AC
The Kalevala Cowboys, by Aleksi Herrera Kivinen; on behalf of CENTER.
The Dreamer, by César Camacho; on behalf of the Department of Image and Sound (DIS) of the University Center for Art, Architecture and Design of the University of Guadalajara.
The Games of Mephisto, by Roberto Telles; on behalf of the National School of Cinematographic Arts (ENAC).
Comedy of a Widow, by Dafne Yunuen Cartela Ruiz; on behalf of the Faculty of Cinema
June 5: Fantasy and horror arrive
The second day (June 5), the turn is Pitch Fantastic Genre. Horror, science fiction and fantasy are the protagonists of five projects chosen in partnership with Feratum Film Festival, one of the most important genre film festivals in Latin America. Participants:
Ashes, by Pablo Brusa, Claudio Rosa (Argentina)
The Rite of Santa Muerte, by Pablo Aura Langer (Mexico)
Maleficarum, by Antonio Gaehd (Mexico)
The town of 1000 heads, by Sharon Alpuche (Mexico, Colombia)
Small Hanging Faces, by Augusto Sinay (Argentina)
Finally, on the third day (June 6), books will take power with Pitch Literario, so that publishers can negotiate their rights and transcend into large audiovisual productions.
Although the titles remain reserved, the houses that will take part on this occasion are Editorial Planeta, Paraíso Perdido and Penguin Random House.
