This April 10, a new shooting has been reported in the United States, this time at the Old National Bank in Louisville, Kentucky, leaving four dead and eight injured so far.
The authorities are working to identify the victims of this unfortunate tragedy. In addition, in the shooting two police officers were wounded by bullets, who confronted the attacker.
Moments of great tension and anguish were experienced in one of the Old National Bank branches that April 10 around 8:30 am, because, according to police information, a lone attacker, who is believed to have been a former bank employee, opened fire on the premises of said bank branch, killing four people and injuring eight others, according to CNN.
During a press conference this morning, Louisville Metropolitan Police Deputy Chief Colonel Paul Humphrey reported that police exchanged fire with the attacker, who died at the scene. However, police are trying to determine if the attacker was killed or died from a self-inflicted wound.
The governor of Kentucky, Andy Beshear, expressed that he lost two friends in this shooting and that another one was injured, who he hopes will be able to recover and move forward. Impressed, he mentioned that he is also a client of this bank.
It is awful. I have a very close friend who didn’t make it today and I have another close friend who didn’t either. Pray for all the families affected and for the city of Louisville.
