Are you planning a getaway to La Rioja and don’t know where to start? Well, that’s what we are for, we love to discover corners of cities that will make our visits unforgettable. Thus, after visiting Palencia, Soria, Teruel, Cuenca… we wanted to go to Logroño and see some of the most significant enclaves.
Logroño Co-Cathedral

We start with the Co-Cathedral of Santa María de la Redonda where, in addition to its beauty inside, the most spectacular thing is its enormous western façade, the work of Juan Bautista de Arbaiza, Juan Martín de Beratúa and Francisco Gorbea, configured around a large niche that leaves no one indifferent.
The Revellin Wall

We continue with another essential: la la Revellin wall. This is the best preserved section of the old medieval wall, where we will also see the Puerta del Revellín and the cube of the same name. A site full of history.
The Paseo del Espolón

You can not miss a walk through one of the most characteristic green areas of the city such as Paseo del Espolón and where we find several historical monuments such as the Monument to General Esparterowhile we enter between walks and beautiful garden areas.
St. Bartholomew’s Church

was declared Asset of Cultural Interest and we found it attached to the city wall, powerfully attracting attention. Another visit that cannot be missed.
Portales Street

Posts for a walk there are two streets that we cannot miss. On the one hand the Portales Street which we find in the old town and is one of the main arteries of the city.
Laurel Street

And if what we want is to taste the gastronomy and soak up the atmosphere of the city, we cannot miss Calle del Laurel. A view that will leave a great taste in our mouths.

And another visit that cannot be missed is that of the stone bridge which is one of the five bridges that cross the Ebro river as it passes through the capital (note that the iron one, for example, is also marvelous).
There is no doubt that there are many more places that we can visit in Logroño such as the historical complex of the Palace of the Diputación and El Gran Hotel, Plaza Santiago, the Casa de las Ciencias… or any of the wineries that we find in the surroundings . Come on, a getaway that you will not regret.
