November 4 AppleTV+ will premiere the documentary “My mind & me” covering the tour revival of Selena Gomez during 2016 and delves into her personal conflicts, such as being diagnosed with bipolar disorder, her battle with lupus, and having undergone a kidney transplant.
In a recent interview with Vanity Fair the also actress commented that this new experience came to life after meeting Alek Keshishiandocumentary director from 1991 “Truth or dare” about the singer madonna and with whom he worked on the video clip of his song “Hands to myself”: “He is very kind and affectionate, and I fully trust him. Most of the time I forgot it was close. Sometimes I was just wearing a iPhone hidden in a corner.
Selena anticipates that with “My mind & me” her fans will get to know a part of her that was unknown until now, especially in the aspect of mental health: “Even though I’m nervous about releasing something so personal, in my heart I know that now is the time. I hope that by sharing my experiences and struggles it will help people feel inspired to share their own stories, and hope that things can and will get better.”
