After rumors that claimed Sebastián Ligarde is fighting two colon tumorsthe actor broke the silence about his state of health, confirming tearfully that one of them has already been removed, but a procedure to remove the largest is still missing.
In an interview with the program ‘First Hand’, the actor remembered for his character from ‘Memo’, the villain in the telenovela ‘Quinceañera’, confessed that two tumors were detected during a routine check-up.
“I had a routine colonoscopy, without any symptoms, without any nothing at all, I just went to do it because I hadn’t done it for 10 years. Y It turns out that they found two tumors, one of 10 millimeters and the other of 33“, mentioned the 68-year-old actor.
After carrying out the first tests, the doctor explained that one of the tumors, the largest, could not be removed.
“When I got out of there the doctor told me: ‘You have a golf ball inside your colon that I couldn’t get out. because half is attached to the fabric and the other half has a collar,’ so he couldn’t remove it,” he added.
Sebastián Ligarde affirmed that four months have passed since he began his treatment, but the second intervention that could be carried out next November is still missing, since the specialists are still analyzing the type of procedure that will be carried out to remove the lump.
Also, he announced that these tumors are benign, but have found diagnoses that differ from each other; However, he will continue to wait for his next operation: “Possibly they will try, again, through a colonoscopy to remove it and, if not, it will have to be in the operating room.”

“There is a lesson to learn for everyone and that is time. All that we see as misfortunes are blessings because we don’t know if we have tomorrow. All the things that used to distress me or worry me or hurt me, now I embrace them because they mean that I am alive. Give thanks to God for every day that you wake up with someone who loves you, with someone you love and who still have the strength to do things.
Finally, he confesses that this has been a difficult test that leaves him with a great life lesson that he has had to face despite the severe pain he suffers.
“Even though it hurts to get out of bed sometimes, you have to do it. This has been the biggest lesson for me learned in these four months of a lot of psychological, physical and all kinds of pain.Sebastian Ligarde
