He tartar, also known as calcium oxide, we see it in our homes as a product of the lime that the water brings. That is why it is common to see it on the tap, shower or bathroom facilities. In this last place it is very common to find it, especially in the tank of the lavatory. That is why today we will help you clean in a few steps, guaranteeing a great result.
How to clean the toilet tank that has scale?
1 -Empty the tank: close the water stopcock that feeds the lavatory and make a discharge, this will allow to remove the largest amount of water from the tank.
2- Remove the particles from the bottom of the tank: when you carry out the first step, you will realize that particles, usually brown in color, such as sand, are accumulated at the bottom of the tank. The easiest way to remove them is to take an absorbent towel or cloth, along with the rest of the water that remained after the discharge.
3- Remove the tartar: once the previous step is over, we will notice the presence of the tartar. To eliminate it, you must empty the necessary amount of white vinegar in the bathroom tank, until it covers the places where calcium oxide is observed. Another option is to spread a liberal amount with a sprayer. After doing this, it is necessary to let the vinegar rest for as long as possible (a whole night is suggested).
4-Clean the vinegar: after you have let the vinegar settle in the tank of the lavatory, you will open the stopcock and perform a download to remove it. Subsequently, close the key again so that the tank is empty.
5-Make a cleaning mixture: for this you will need a cup of vinegar, a tablespoon of liquid soap for dishes and the necessary amount of baking soda to generate a paste.
6-Clean: soak a brush with the paste from the previous step and clean rubbing all surfaces of the tank of the lavatory until you notice that all the dirt is removed. Let the mixture rest for about 5 minutes.
7-Rinse: once all of the above is finished, we will move on to clean the tank lavatory to check that the tartar gone completely. We will rinse the paste with a little water, later we will open the water tap and perform a discharge.
