More than 12 years ago, in March 2010, was the moment when Ricky Martin told the world that it was gay. The singer remembered him in the last ‘National Coming Out Day’ (National Coming Out Day)with a video on his social networks talking about his emotions when publicly declared gayafter being linked to famous women such as Rebecca De Alba.
“Hi how are things? I’m here, studying my scripts, but it’s National Coming Out Day! It’s so important, it really matters. I remember when I didn’t feel ready. I remember how amazing it felt when I found out what it was but doing it was the best feeling ever”, he commented.
“It wasn’t easy for me and it sure isn’t easy for many of you. But it’s so worth it…so worth it,” he said.
Martin spoke that it was a focus of hatred, but the love they also gave him was great, “I found a lot of love on the other side and of course I also found a little hate to be honest, it’s true, but who cares? He made me stronger”he indicated.
Finally, Ricky Martin left a message for those who have not been able to tell the world who they are and for those who have already done so and it has not been an easy road, “You are not alone, I love you”he concluded.
