We have ‘Rick and Morty’ for a while, with the animated series by Dan Harmon and Justin Roland with a good handful of chapters ahead. But while the long-awaited season 5 arrives, adult swim will continue to explore his adventures with an anime series.
A different aspect of the multiverse with a “repeat” director
‘Rick and Morty: The Anime’ It will be a 10-episode series that will adapt some themes and events from the main series, although it is planned as a title with original content that can be seen independently and that possibly innovates on some fronts. Takashi Sanothe director of ‘Tower of God’ will be in charge of directing this anime series for Adult Swim, and the Telecom Animation Film studio will initially be in charge of animation.
Sano has already worked for the series, and so far he has written and directed two specials: ‘Rick and Morty vs. Genocider’ and ‘Summer Meets God (Rick Meets Evil)’.
“Rick and the rest of the gang’s exploits across the multiverse are a danger to family ties, but they always come out on top every time. It’s an inspiring sight, even Jerry,” said Sato. “I am honored to have this opportunity to tell a new story with this amazing family. I hope you enjoy their adventures!”
Harmon and Roiland’s original series follows the misadventures of a scientist, Rickand his easily influenced grandson, Mortywho pass the time between domestic life and space, time and intergalactic travel.
