In Netflix they were clear from the first moment that ‘Vikings: Valhalla’ was a series worth betting on in the long term. For this reason, they commissioned three batches of episodes at once with the promise of telling a story with a beginning, middle and end. The third season has to close, but it is no less clear that it will also serve to conclude one of the best series on the platform last year.
Now the time has come to review everything we know for now about season 3 of ‘Vikings: Valhalla’. For now, you can forget about any fear about a possible cancellation, since the season is already recorded. Below you will find information about that and other aspects of the series.
The history (and the future of the series)
Jeb Stuart (‘The Fugitive’), creator of the series, was clear quite early on that the first three seasons of the ‘Vikings: Valhalla’ were going to have a block in which everything was connected and thinking to have a closure. Therefore, everything that has been left open at the end of the second will have to be taken up to offer a satisfactory resolution.
Of course, it will not be a definitive end, since Stuart has long-term plans that would lengthen the story until the sixth season with a new arch divided into three deliveries. However, this is not guaranteed, but he has already shown his willingness to adapt to what Netflix gives him:
If we have the chance to shoot this, yes, it’s a continuation because the first part was thought of as a triptych. The second part should be thought the same. Now, if I only had one season to do, I’ll take it one by one and do what I have to do. But these things are always better when you can play on a big canvas. Is better.
When does season 3 of ‘Vikings: Valhalla’ premiere on Netflix?

In this way, the void left by the franchise would be filled. ‘The Witcher’since its third season -and the last one with Henry Cavill in front of the cast- will be released in the summer of this year.
