Despite the failure of its Christmas specials, ‘Masterchef’ returns to RTVE. The culinary reality show will soon premiere its 11th season with a new round of anonymous contestants who will come to demonstrate their skill in the kitchen.
Format
Like the previous seasons, ‘Masterchef’ adapts the British format of the same name. Each episode begins with an initial test, an outdoor test (by teams) and an elimination test, which expels the contestant with the worst results.
As a novelty compared to previous editions, this season will incorporate the double contestants, going from 15-16 to 30-34 applicants and with two eliminations per week. There will also be double weekly episode of realityin order to shorten its duration.

As usual, the presenters and jury of this eleventh edition will be Pepe Rodríguez, Samantha Vallejo-Nágera and Jordi Cruzto which will be added the special guests of each gala, such as Mario Vaquerizo, Carlos Latre, Santiago Segura, Edu Soto, Miguel Bosé or Carmina Barrios.

Season 11 of ‘Masterchef’ opens next Monday March 27 at 10:00 p.m. at La 1 and the second installment is broadcast on March 28in response to criticism for the length of the program.
