Today’s is one of those recipes with foundation, nutritious and traditional. It is about stewed or stewed lentils, a dish of a lifetime, cooked with a multifunction kitchen robot but the instructions can be adapted to other similar appliances. The ingredients are simple, humble, easy to find and cheap. Prepared this way: without meat, sausages, or bones and only with vegetables, they are extremely tasty and fall better on the stomach. So much so that you can even eat them at dinner time.
First of all, we peel the onion, the garlic cloves and the carrot and chop. We introduce the vegetables in the robot glass and we program 8 seconds, speed 6.
Add the oil and program 5 minutes at speed 1, temperature 120 ºC. Add the grated tomato and program 3 more minutes with the same speed and temperature parameters.
Meanwhile, peel the potatoes and crush them to add them to the glass as soon as the sauce is finished, along with the lentils, the two types of paprika, the bay leaf and the broth. we cook then for 50 minutes at speed 0 and temperature 100 ºC.
Let rest for a few minutes before serving. If we want them thicker and creamier, separate a pot of lentils, a couple of potato wedges and a little broth and blend to obtain a puree. Return it to the stew, stir to integrate and that’s it.
