A few days ago the Spanish singer Miguel Bose was at the Guadalajara Book Fair to present his book “Secret history of my songs”. In his comments, he stressed that the late host Raúl Velasco banned him from the popular television program “Siempre en domingo” for 20 years.: “The first trip I made was a promotional trip in 1978 and I came to do a Siempre en Domingo, which in the end I came, but they didn’t let me do it, because Velasco forbade me. Yes, Velasco banned me for 20 years, he didn’t want me because he was “weird”. He said: ‘Look, now this little Spanish p**** is coming to teach us Mexican youth what to do and here’…and he forbade me”.
Now Arturo Velascoson of the Mexican journalist, made use of his account instagram to comment that Bosé’s statements, according to him, are false: “I never use IG to defend or enter into controversy, but to defend the memory of my father Raul Velasco of course I will @miguelbose what a bad memory you have, you only think about the programs in which your participation was doubted but you already forgot the hundreds of programs that he gave you for many years on Televisa As @chapoypati rightly says, how ungrateful you are and what an abuse to attack someone who is no longer here to defend himself, but here I am Miguel ”.
In its post Arturo mentioned the journalist Patty Chapoywho worked with Raul Velasco for many years. Now on your show “Windowing” she commented: “What I saw during all the years that he appeared in “Always on Sunday” It was a good deal…(Bosé) is saying that Raúl vetoed it, and I am going to put on the table why it is not true: Raúl Velasco had a company that was dedicated to organizing the tours of many singers. One of the tours that he organized in his own company was with Miguel Bosé. Do you think that if Raúl had the business of Miguel Bosé’s tour of the Mexican Republic, would he veto it in “Siempre en Domingo”? Obviously not”.
