We have already said goodbye completely to Ash Ketchum as the protagonist… or at least until ‘Pokemon’ decide to bring it back to the anime, because you never have to close the door on him. An entire era has come to an end for the ‘Pokémon’ series and right now it starts in Japan a new anime to introduce us to the next region and its inhabitants.
More adventures ahead
We changed Ash for Liko and Rod as main trainers, who will also be accompanied by Sprigatito, Quaxly and Fuecoco, the three new starters in the game. The anime not only changes its protagonists but also its name, and from now on ‘pokemon horizons‘ will introduce us to the Paldea region.
The anime opens in Japan andapril 14and with the date so close, a new trailer has been released that gives us a little more chicha regarding the plot, which seems to accompany Liko and Rod in their first steps as trainers while they reveal the mysteries of Paldea.
Some images of the series have also been revealed to introduce us to the new starters, and that we go staying with the new generation… That it will be because of bugs in the Pokédex and how to memorize them all.

It is not yet known for sure the duration of ‘pokemon horizons‘, only that it will be based on ‘Pokémon Scarlet and Purple’, although it is possible that if the series works well it will be extended to the next region that we know of in the games.
With the new trailer, more images of the new characters have also been seen, including Professor Friede and his Captain Pikachu and Amethio, Oria, Mollie, Murdock and Landon, other new trainers with their respective Pokémon partners. There is no international release date yet, but ‘Pokemon Horizons‘ will reach us throughout 2023.
